Engagment commands automatic

You know when you make your first encounter and the game will stop then ask what do you want to do...engage dive etc etc. Once you click do this all the time how can you go back to change this?

bigboywooly 12-16-06 08:20 PM

Yes you can

Go to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg

Open up GameplaySettings.cfg and near the bottom is

[MiscSettings]
AlwaysAutotargeting=0,0,0,0,0;for warships, merchants, uboats, air and land targets

Reset them back to 0

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need to manualy edit GameplaySettings.cfg in documents/sh3 folder

Open the Cfg file with notepad and do the changes. Afterwards just save it and it should save it as *.cfg. If it doesn't work use the save as but make sure you chose all files *.* and not text files *.txt from the extension (file type) options

I'm doing this from memory,(I've a spanish version of XP), but you should go to folder options and uncheck the option hide known file extensions (or something like this), and then explorer should show you the complete file name.

Talk about swatting a fly with a sledgehammer. :rotfl: :rotfl:

When first starting the game you can also reset in the options panel.
