Yes, those were in the last update of the Dev Diary which was posted here in November. Still, it is nice to see them again.:yep: I really like those damage effects.

Oh and something about the original post too, I'd seen those pics from the Dev Diary a little while back, but the one thing I was wondering is whether or not they were all direct in game shots, captures from the intro movie perhaps, or were retouched to pretify them. I hope it's the first one because the sea effects on the first shot of the sub just under the surface is amazing, I especially liked the lighting effect on it, if that's an in-game shot and unretouched then color me pretty amazed. :D

Yeah thats what i was wondering. From the gameplay video it looked pritty plain underwater but the screenshots looked much more detailed

The gameplay video was very cool, I think I already sold about 3 copies of SH IV to my friends just by showing them that, but yeah they were a little plain-ish to me. Then again the size and resolution of the video was reduced so a lot of the devilly little details could have been lost. Also the screenshots could be from a later build than the version they had available for the video demo.

Too many of the pics look like heavily touched up screenies,or flat out artist renditions to really judge anything.

Another thing I noticed was that in many of the shots the Pacific looked pretty dark and angry, which I can understand if there were storms but the waves didn't seem to indicate that. So I'm wondering if a little color tweaking may not be in order.
