Menu ID not found
 

What does it mean? I had SH3 installed with NYGM 2.2. I was running into some strange issues with weather and such, so I thought I would blow it all away and start over. I uninstalled the whole thing, and reinstalled my SH3. It runs.

But then if I put NYGM 2.2 on I get errors when it loads. So I tried putting GW on and I get the same errors. Half way through the initial load bar (before getting into the game) it tells me

"There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page Ingame Options>!"

If I hit escape the bar continues to load the rest of the way, and when the load bar fills up it tells me

"Menu ID not found: 0x1a000008!"

and then boots me to the desktop.

And this is from a 100% clean re-installation. Or at least I have reason to believe it is a clean re-installation. Does anyone have an idea what could be my problem?

Hi Fab, is your new installation patched to 1.4 ?

Good question. I thought that it was. Upon closer inspection, it appears that what I thought was version 1.4 was NOT! I patched it and now it works perfectly.

Someone in the Wolves at War forums asked me the same thing last night, and without checking I said that it was. I guess it pays not to assume even when you think you know the answer.
