IX Question
 

When I look at the gauge in both place there is nothing inside incidicating how much Fuel I have remaining. Should there be something floating in this gauge?

Are you looking at it when it's half full? The gauge is hard to see when its full or empty.

I ask the engineer. Frequently! -- On the IXB, I go out at 8 kts across the Atlantic. If destination is off Halifax, I have 75% fuel left. Going to Caribbean, I have about 60% fuel left at Anegada Passage. In both cases, enough to have some fast speed runs and being able to return to Lorient at 10-12 knots.:smug:

I didnt see it there. Doesnt matter now I'm back in 39 with GWX but thanks for the reply. When I get my IX in years to come I will have to take notices
