Back to GW 1.1
While awaiting the relase of GWX thought I would brush up on GW 1.1.
After a format lost my careers so began one with TGW of course back to Sep 1939. Using SH3 commander and for the first time am using SH3 Gen. Pretty neat, 1st patrol told me I was tasked with raiding Loch Ewe. I never raid ports but decided to this time since I had been ordered to do so. Got me a Nelson!! Kind of contradictory becasue I'm getting radio messages from Hitler telling me NOT to attack warships but I have standing orders to raid Loch Ewe and sink warships! You know what a Captain is going to do! I answer to Doenitz not Hitler!! LOL Stuck 4 in her side and she listed but would not sink, crept around to the other side of her and finished her off with one eel. 36000 tons. Came back in with around 60k. Helluva first patrol but we will have to see what the next one holds. I notice I go through some eels using GWX but its not too bad. Just takes some getting used to. Oh well off on #2. Chuck |
GWX will blow you away that's for sure. If you want to have the maximum experience start playing the stock SH3 for a few days. Then install GWX as soon as it is out. You will be overwhelmed:yep: :yep: :yep: :yep:

Yeah I meant going through some eels using TGW.
Halfway through second patrol....grid square has been patrolled now on my way to observe El Ferrol (?). Cannot attack just see what is in there. Down to 2 torpedoes remaining and have sank close to 20 tons. If all goes well (meaning I survive) I'll have 2 patrols completed and over 80 tons! I know it will not stay this good for long. Yeah, I have been playing long enough now to keep the cockiness down but I really think SH3 Gen will get me killed with all these extra orders!
