Think your 1 gbps home NW is fast?

New standard by 2010 to be 100G now! Wow! Then again, I'm an old timer around PC's, so I remember when a fast network was a 115 baud serial cable!!! If you tell me to dig deep enough, I might even be able to find an 8" floppy, but don't ask me to make it work anymore.

I don't know networks, but I do remember my first hard drive-all 20MB.

The first machine I worked on had a 20MB HDD and a 5.25" Floppy drive...my grandpa's 1983 IBM PC XT.

I remember when Windows 3.1 was amazingly cool and new. I was like 5 or something.

Thats nice! Way better than my first. My first machine was a 1977 C/PM system. It had 64K RAM and dual 5.25" floppies. It cost about $10K in its day.
