1984 in America!!!

Watch out folks we are watching you almost in the buff. :o

Bare all: Full body x-ray to be tested at U.S. airport

nightdagger 12-01-06 05:54 PM

Where do I sign up for the TSA?

Sailor Steve 12-01-06 06:17 PM

I saw something like that in a movie, I think it was Total Recall. At least in their version all you saw was the skeleton.

I'm glad I don't fly anywhere. Yeesh.

Yahoshua 12-01-06 06:25 PM

Same here.....I got so frustrated when dealing with TSA that I vowed not to fly in the U.S. anymore. Any and all of my long-distance domestic travels will now be by train or by car.

The Noob 12-01-06 07:05 PM

I boycott Aircraft until they stop those ridiculusly high security BS. :nope:

I use Train, Ship, Car, Bike, or even BARE FOOT if nessicary, but never Aircraft.

nightdagger 12-01-06 09:13 PM

I don't see too much of a problem with security as long as you're smart about it. It does suck waiting in line, but not as bad as the DMV lol.

STEED 12-02-06 07:02 AM

You should all turn up in the buff.

Tchocky 12-02-06 12:59 PM

I don't know which makes me angrier, the invasive security, or the reliance on the same bloody motif every time.....

x-ray....1984!!!
id card...1984!
bin tax.....1984!!

find a new symbol, world, you're showing yourself as you really are.

fredbass 12-02-06 01:08 PM

I don't mind the security at the airports. It actually makes me feel more safe and comfortable when I fly. Now the wait and delays... That's another story. If the scanning can improve the time it takes to get in, then I'm all for it.

Tchocky 12-02-06 01:10 PM

i see that I've said this before http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...3&postcount=12

As long as we're STUPID enough to have the same reactions every time, those in power will continue with whatever they're doing. a rebellion of morons enforces a ruler.

alas, the world is that idiotic, and will probably remain so

"A new tax on carbon? Verily, Orwells depiction of a totalitarian state enforced by perpetual war and mass killings is the natural corollary..."

Stop being f*cking sheep, people. And that goes for the orwell-reading clash-listening types out there too. get a new work of art to lean on, pick on something NEW

joea 12-02-06 03:03 PM

Great for you guys boycotting plane travel, not very practical for me if I want to visit my family in Vancouver or New York. :nope:

Baaaaaaaa. :-?

tycho102 12-02-06 08:03 PM

I don't have a problem with the invasion of privacy issue that surrounds this.

However, I do have a problem with the radiation exposure and personal details that *WILL* eventually be kept. Fillings, plates, pins, clamps, piercings, shrapnel.

Yahoshua 12-02-06 09:15 PM

I was tired of the sheer incompetence of TSA personnel, although since I've met a guy a couple months ago who works with TSA it did shine a whole new light on my viewpoint.

Even the TSA personnel themselves couldn't understand the guidelines for what they were supposed to do, and that the TSA administration has so much red tape that it was a near miracle to get anything useful accomplished).

Still, it defies all reasoning as to why TSA would seize NAIL CLIPPERS, which are sold in the airport by the way, and now are seizing liquid items. Liquid explosives are easily detectable (often more so than solid explosives), and are also unstable (you're more likely to have it go off by accident than on purpose).

bookworm_020 12-03-06 05:35 PM

What a shame! I won't get that nice girl at the airport to frisk me anymore! I was getting turned on by the sound of the rubber glove being put on!

BTW Sailor Steve: I think the moive was True Lies where they got x-rayed as they enter work

Sailor Steve 12-03-06 05:43 PM

I'm not sure. The scene I'm thinking of has Arnie (I think) as a skeleton moving behind a screen, until he breaks through the screen. It's been a long time, and I only saw those once.
