FaT Torpedoes

You know how when you set the FaT torpedoes, there's the one dial that sets the initial straight run distance? It goes 0-150? Is this dial in meters, or tens of meters, or what unit?

I believe it is in 100's (meters). IE: setting it to ten (10) means 1000 meters... Could be wrong on this, though...

yep , its 100's of meters - Just got myself a large tanker with one , missed with the first pass but got it on the Backswing:D:D

They're also great for convoys. In big, heavily escorted convoys, I fire a spread of them from a distance. As long as the AoB is about 90 degress, you'll generally score a clean hit (unless they hit something while turning)

Yeah, on the initial run it acts like a normal torpedo and if it does not explode at a certain distance it starts it's ladder running, hopefully within the columns. Quite clever really....

They are also great for putting on a very short distance if you have a zigzagging DD coming at you

Fire and dive below

The DD usually hovers around your last known position and hopefully gets caught in the pattern

Usually helps till I get some homers
