GW - I want ships weak spots back
I have applied a mod that shows the volnerable areas of a ship in various colours. After I got GW it disappeared, if I run the mod again it won't show up again in the rec. manual.
Is there a way of getting it back? a minor second question. Is there an easy way of getting the torpedo course in green colour again as well? Kanolsen |
Try to re-install the full vulnerability mod using the mod enabler. That should do it.

It is applicable only to warships. Furthermore, the vunerability mod has recongition images only for the stock ships, not the ones introduced after the stock game and are included to GW. Von |
I may be wrong on this one .... but I'm using GW1.1 and I CAN see the damage zones on the recognition manual (yellow for engine, pink for ammo etc...) and, if I remember right, this was turned on by installing the spa wolves mod. Maybe someone more experienced than me can confirm.
Also ... if you are talking about sweet spots .... well I have been able to get a number of 1 shot kills with GW.... doesn't happen very often .... biggest one shot kill to date for me is an Illustrious fleet carrier. |
GWX has an all new damage model.

I just knew someone would post something like this right after I saw the title of this thread ;-) |

As VonHelsching said, you can see the weak spot on your reco but it would be useless for you because of the different gestion of damages in GW from the vanilla game...
furthermore, its' not very pretty and more you play, faster you learn where the weak spots are. |
The spawolves mod does add in all of the vulnerabilities. Its oe of the main reasons I use it.

In GWX the Damage Model is completely revised. Ships, according to their ship type will sink both by flooding and structural integrity loss, within a reasonable amount of time, torpedo hits will inflict additional damage when the ship is hit in the same spot and deck gun will inflict damage both under the waterline, assisting faster sinking rates and damage at the superstructure. Having all the above features at the same time required a very fine balance that is being tested and developed since May 2006. Your patience for GWX will be rewarded. Von |
