Can I make destroyers & planes more smart in Harbour Traffic Mod v1.7
I have used Harbour Traffic Mod v1.7 to increase the no. of enemy shipping in the game - it looks so weird that no enemy shippings exists in enemy ports
The followings are based on a recent patrol @ October 1943 I love inflitrating enemy ports. It is a great fun and I usually find big ships inside it (Fiji Light Cruiser, Troop Transport, Landing ship tank ~ my favorite. It goes down with 1 working fish with a high renown [base value 320] goes to my pocket) However, that mod also introduces patrolling destroyers (usually 3) ,subnets and mines in it. I havn't hit any mine before since I always enter from the main entrance, with patrols as my guides. But I sometimes bump into subnets. (and even my torpedos hit subnets and detonates) I know I am making a loud noise, and I'm pretty sure that the Fiji and other stationary escorts has heard that noise. Until I fired a salvo and sunk that Fiji, the patrolling destroyers became alert. [Other stationary ships remains stationary, not tending to leave the port immediately] When I go back, I met 4 planes, which are divided into 2 groups of 2. The first 2 circled appox. 5 times around me and I destroyed 1 with my AA. For the second group, they circled me for more than 10 times, only using their MG but not any bombs/depth charges. They finally got their HP 0, which is reduced a little by a little. Although I think that they are powerful, their poor performance doesn't match the excellent performance in WW2. How can I improve their performance??? |

What you could do is using SH3 mission editor open the 'Campaign_LND.mis' file and look for the air bases, zoom in and select the base then right-click/properties, you will see entry for CrewRating, change this & Save!
You could also open with notepad & do a search fo airbases. Hope this helps. Cheers. EDIT: These changes will not work until a new patrol is started & not sure but may need to start a whole new campaign! |
