Those GWX guys are incredible, no doubt about that! Based on what we know so far about the development, how much would you pay if this addon was payware? (I know i would pay with my grandma if i could.)

I have never paid for anything that is available on the net , never have and never will .

For an add-on to something flight MS FlightSim you'd be paying anything up to $80. If it was packaged I'm sure there would be a market, albeit a relatively small one, say compared to WoWIII.

P_Funk 11-22-06 02:52 AM

I wouldn't pay anything because then GWX would have been stolen from some gallant freeway mod team.:yep:

Maybe a hard copy of GWX on cd should be made available for a reasonable price for the folks that still use dial up. And for those that simply want to show a little bit of love. Could even release it a week before the download version becomes available.

Reversing the world!!!!

The only way (The GWXDev team ) would charge for this is...
A) A donation to a Web site like UBRS/SubSim for kindly hosting the files
B) "If we could get it on CD" just to cover the cost of postage.

But we love the game..so we would rather release as freeware

Difficult to have an opinion on something you've never seen, never read a real review, don't know exactly what it does and just have read publicity saying "Believe us, it will solve all your problems, if you lost your job, if your girlfriend has left you,...";)

I think the whole team has the community's interest in their mind so they would never ask someone to pay for their mods. That's for sure especially with Kpt on the helm :yep: :yep:

GWX has the quality/gameplay & more (insider knowledge;)) that SH3 should have had at release so I would pay the same amount as SH3 cost me.

But, as already stated, GWX will ALWAYS be Freeware as the DEV's want to improve the game they love playing.

kiwi_2005 11-22-06 07:53 AM

Well what i always do before i buy a game is read up on reviews first then decide whether i should buy it. And because everything ive read about GW has been positive i would then be willing to pay top dollar. I would pay up to $100 for GW:yep: Which is the normal price give or take for new games.

P_Funk 11-22-06 08:41 AM

I never buy a game without background info. SH3 I found out about in PCGamer in a good review.

One PC Gamer led me to this game. Amazing given how much I spend on SubSim and play SH3.

GWX... worth the $60 I paid for Vanilla.
