looking for Mod

I seem to recall a mod that removed the sub icon and course lines from the ingame map, meaning you have to take virtual sextant readings (ctrl+left click to get a position fix), anyone know what its called and where i can get it?? id love to try my hand at a bit of dead rekoning.
cheers....

Try this thread, there's a way to do it manually part way down page 1

You know, I read up on those threads and man what a diffrence that style of play makes. I love it.

I simply made the sub icons transparent with the exception of the 1500m overlay when I am within 1500m of the boat. I do not use the course tool any more and do not allow accurate position reports (I do them at 12:00 and 00:00) when I am unable to see the stars or the sun. 14mps winds over 12hrs can really have an effect on your navigation. Once in my patrol grid I will allow the use of the Navigators grid pattern as not doing that really mucks up the grid.

Finding a convoy that is a grid away now has a really new feel to it. But I think what I like the most is that I have really started playing the game at a much slower rate (and enjoying it more). 64/128 max. I see the sunrises, sunsets, weather change .... and most important I seem to not get the studdering when a contact enters my sphere. So I never really know when a contact is near.

Thanks for asking this question, becuase I missed that thread. :)
