MissionEditor - Altering the minimum distance in "Convoy"

Moin,

does anybody know how to alter the prescribed minimum distance between the vessels in convoys? I have to reduce the value from 300m to less than 20m to build my marina piece by piece.

Seems an odd way to do it DD
Cant you pack it into a dat file ? like the ports are

Why include it in a convoy in the first place?

And convoy vessels can perfectly well be closer than 300m to each others if you place them that close manually, can't they?

If I did so, parts of the marina would get "airborne" from time to time since the ratio height/width is pretty high already. Presently the marina is defined as Typ105 and part of the ENVIRONMENTAL folder. It is planned to give mission designers the possibility to build marinas for every minor port or as addition to the piers that are too high for boats like my little one. ;) Thatīs why Iīd like to keep it "variable".

itīs not an issue of putting them into a real convoy. But creating a "convoy" makes it easier to align them in the MissionEditor. Iīve tried hard to get them in a row, but without success.

Well add them to the SCR DD
Its only the single missions and the RND that need to be 300m apart
With the SCR you can go as close as you like

Add them to you SCR and then make a single mission with your Uboat nearby so you can see what it looks like

Tell me what SCR and RND means, and I will do as adviced.

Sorry DD
Open up mission Editor and " open scripted layer " which is the SCR
Add your marina somewhere quiet
Then " save scripted layer as "

Make a single mission at the same point

PS: Iīm a total noob in mission editing, as you may possibly have recognized by now.

Safe-Keeper 11-15-06 04:26 PM

Also, you can edit your .mis files with notepad, changing positions at will.

Yes but for the random layer the results dont look good besides be a lot of work if you added a dozen lol
Lets see the results first - I think will be ok
Well fingers crossed

Moin BBW,

unfortunately the SCR was not the solution.

The minimum value remains unchanged 300m. As in normal mission editing Iīve to align them manually. But thatīs almost impossible.
Isnīt there a *.cfg to edit???

DD

Hmmm I am not sure
Will have a hunt around
So its not possible to manually place them next to each other ?
Using the measure to get the 20m you want ?

DivingDuck 11-17-06 01:05 AM

Good Morning,

I can place them as close as I want. But manual alignment, although it is possible, is hell on earth. I donīt get any satisfying results. Thatīs why I wanted to align them using the function provided by the MissionEditor. And now I need a clue where to change this damn minimum value of 300m.

DD
