Naval Graves - Google Earth.

Hi, I dont know if any already knows this (probibly will:D ) but just looking around on Google Earth, and I saw that some one (Cheif Sparky) has plassed a community marker along with a good amount of info a pic and the name number and date of all US sub's that where lost in the pacific sub war.

good one M8, and for all those still on patrol may all there scores be good ones.

I know Google Earth, but how do you get the "sunk subs" thingy? Is it in when you install it, or do you have to do a seperate download?

Hi there.

that's how I did it:

I had Google Earth (GE) opened and entered the following URL in my browser:

http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/134037/an/0/page/0

Then you donwload this and it will be opened by GE. After this, move to the Pacific. When exiting GE, don't forget to save. I think this placemark list also includes russian submarines because I can now find them. It's quite spooky around Murmansk!

There are other most interesting placemark collections. For example there is one that has also planes in flight. Unbelievable!

Hope this helps. And have fun!

Cheers

Kai
