Exercise Blue

Exercise Blue is an attempt for me to understand the workings of the 688i in the next 6 weeks i will travel across the atlantic up the north sea and back home through the arctic stopping along the way of course.

I shall leave Norfolk at 1500 13th November 2006 on board the U.S.S Santa Fe S.S.N 763 and head towards panama where i shall rondevous with two Brazilian frigates and a Brazilian submarine to conduct two days of exercises.

After which i shall head towards the english coast stoping in the bay of biscay to exercise with the French and British navy i will then possily dock at devenport for a day.

After i have completed the exercise with the French and the British i will then proceade into the north sea and exercise again with the German fleet for another three days.

Once complete i will head north for exercises with the Russian navy i will seek out and target both ships and submarines of the northern fleet.

Once complete i shall head home under the ice as fast as i can, and dock back in virginia.

This will be done in real time (yet again have alot of spare time) the whole patrol should only last 6 weeks

I am due to arrive in Norfolk at 0700 on the 25th of December 2005

What does it mean in DW terms ? You build 20 scenarios and will play one after another ?

Kapitan 11-09-06 11:54 AM

Pretty much so yes but it will all be done in real time it takes a good two days to build all the missions.

By the end of it i hope to achieve a workable knowlege of the sonar and other such sensors and ship handleing.

Dr.Sid 11-09-06 12:51 PM

I suggest playing quick missions for that.

Kapitan 11-09-06 02:32 PM

Well i could but i want something a tad realistic rather than shoot and kill its not all about that.
