In answer to your question...

Left click the protractor on the top right of the navigation table. Left click to set the waypoints (represented as flags) and then right click to set the final waypoint and your destination.

Good Hunting

Weclome to subsim the protracter first said is in fact an angle mesurer the protractor happens to be the shape of a half moon *mutters under breath illiterate stupid dumb people* :D

SH3 is easy to navigate once you know how, if your looking for a navigational challenge then buy DW and go under ice in the shallows. :D

And people, I know I may be asking too much, but learn how to write roman numbers. It's III, not 111!

Welcome and I'm sure all you're answers will be answered. And make sure your caps are off next time (the big button on the left hand corners of your keyboard and says "Caps Lock" on them. Also check the lights in the top right hand corner of your keyboard to see if your caps are on or off).

As for your problem, use the triangle thingy in the F5 screen. When you click on it and move it to the map, a line will come out from yout U-Boat (respresented by an "O" on the map). You can then plot a course by left clicking anywhere on the map (make sure you don't click on land or that your waypoint crosses land). When you are finished, press the right mouse button and off you go :yep:

Hello and welcome

As everyone else said please try not to write in capital letters. It's like you're shouting and it's not polite ;)

My suggestion would be to try the academy tutorials. They're very useful and not so difficult. If you have any other questions ask and I'm sure people will answer.

Good Luck and Good Hunting

Ok, here´s a small tutorial.

First press F5 key to get to the navigator´s position. From the top right slide down menu press the key seen in the image:

When you click it, you see that the tool moves to with your mouse and that a thin line is connecting it to your boat. (see image)

Now you just left click to the map and make the path you want to your boat to go. When you have placed your last waypoint, right click to the map and the command is passed and the boat starts to move.

Hope this helps!

Oh and welcome to the forums!

Now I dont wonder your stats, 40 patrols and not a single ship sunk. Maybe you should man the helm yourself the next time! :rotfl::up:

We are to sink ships? Bernard said this was a pleasure cruise:shifty: I should have suspected something when Bernard reported for duty with sun screen.

I tried that in SHI. Lt. Hikaru Sulu set a course straight for Tokyo. Not to attack, but change sides. The Japanese ended up with a brand new Gato, and I spent the war in prison.
