But only a few days after the war ended, he died in an unfortunate accident. Kapitän zur See Wolfgang Lüth was shot on 13 May, 1945, by a German sentry when he failed to identify himself or give the password. The lucky shot, fired by the sentry at a target he could not even see in the darkness, struck Lüth in the head, killing him instantly.

I think thats a good reason to always having ur identity card with you:up:

Mine has no picture included on uboat.net, he was Günter Kutschmann, a Korvettenkapitän who died on his only mission on U-54, running into a mine. No sunk ships. Obviously, I do fairly better playing him with 400,000 tons sunk! :yep:

Mine finished the war after sinking a bit more than 1,700,000 GWT and then he became a tax advisor :D :D (I love SH3Cmd:up: :up: )

I've finally managed to be promoted to Kapitänleutnant. I instantly switched to the 2nd Flotille and got myself a IXb, U-123. I found out that it was a very successfull U-boat under command of Korvettenkapitän (then of course KaLeun) Karl-Heinz Moehle.
