This bit of news was email to me. What do you guys in the states make of it?

Plan to fingerprint pupils worries parents


Strikes me as 1984 with PC Madness.

Steed I read in the Guardian they want to try something similar here. The Guardian was pretty scathing of it. Now I know it is a left of centre paper, but they are Anti-ID cards, anti a lot of new labour stuff.

Packed lunches for my kids then.

Makes sense.

The kids depend on government aid, so the state believes they must lower their heads and submit to them.

Bring your food from home. And bring one extra sandwitch for the kids who are currently depending on aid so that they depend on other kids instead.
