Probably a DUMB Question, but...
 

Finally got around to installing SH3 Commander. The Question : Is there any difference between using the SH3 Commander Icon, and selecting 'launch SH3'.... and just using the Silent Hunter III Icon ? I note that using the SH3 produces a screen that says '...Commander...'

Well, it just starts with all the options you can select within Commander. Otherwise it's the same game, you know? ;)

When you change anything (say your patrol grid), you have to launch SHIII using the SHCmdr 'launch SH3'; if you close out of SHCmdr and instead launch the SHIII icon, you will not have the options you selected in SHCmdr.
