US Mid-term Elections....or Those in glass houses

Nothing I can say. You have to read it to believe it.

I wonder how long the Democrats have known about it and said nothing?

I hope this isn't deemed too explicit. After the Dem left went after Foley and the GOP congressional leadership I think equal time is in keeping with Subsim's policy to air all sides.

This guy is trying to be one of our representatives? Nice. Sounds like he might be a little sick.

Worse, he wants to be a senator. With this type of an imagination only God knows where he'd take the country.

Kind of a weirdo, even by my standards. There's freaky stuff that girls can do overseas, but the other stuff just sounds like some New England bourgeoisie fantasy crap. Like one of those wierd sexual fantasy novels that come out of New York.

I'll pass on that one.

Wow, looks like in Virginia you get to choose between a creepy sexist and a racist moron! What an election! I think they need a do-over with two new candidates.

Well, having been to Bangkok and Subic Bay in my younger days, I've seen similar and much worse. Remember that Webb was Secretary of the Navy under Ronald Reagen. He probably recycled some of his subordinate's sea stories. We all know the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story:

The first begins with:"Once upon a time..."

The second begins with:"This is a no-sh****r..."

Too much mud-slinging in the States, from both sides. Not enough politics and too much image. This is merely more of the same:down:.

My view: Neither Republicans nor Democrats should use too many ad hominem remarks against their opponents. What if Dean screamed when he lost the primary? What if Bush failed his drug test and skipped Vietnam service?
It even gets as idiotic as some liberals posting pictures of Bush holding a pair of binoculars to his face with lens caps on, as if it matters one second. The only thing more frightening is that certain neo-cons come up with excuses like "OMG teh ph0toshop!111", apparently thinking their Dear Leader above making even such tiny mistakes. Scary.

Once and for all, Liberals and Conservatives, let's skip the personal attacks and focus on the freaking politics.

Phew. Thank you.

Probably not more than the Republicans who have known about all this and said nothing, or even voiced their support. Your point?

My point is during the Foley scandal Democrats made a lot of hay as to how long the GoP leadership knew about it and did nothing. This is of course quite hypocritical given the 12 years the Dems knew about Gary Studds doing the same thing.
