Repainting the Mk48 Torpedo?

G'day guys,

Sorry to bother - quick question.

I wanted to have a go at making the Mk 48 texture a little less 'plain' (seeing I see it so much) by adding some yellow stripes, labels, etc.

But, I can't seem to see the texture files for the Mk48 in the Graphics folder (by decompressing 3d.ndx)

DWEdit says the two textures are Fin64_1 and Prop64_1...but I can't seem to find those??

Thanks guys - hope you can help,
Stew

Hi Stewy,
Mk48 j3d model is missing any dedicated textures nor it has any texture coordinates except for fins and prop. So unless the model is resaved with texture coordinates assigned to the body of the torpedo I'm afraid, not much else can be done. Sorry.

Ahh, thanks very much for the answer, Polak. What a shame! :salute:

There's a nice MK 48 ADCAP model in LWAMI 3.11.

MK 48s don't have a lot of markings or labels. The covers might but the actual fish don't. :yep:

Lwami has some great models, while RA has other good models and more in-depth game play. It would be great to use some of the Lwami models in RA. Namely:

1. Chinese Type 52C 52D DDG
2. Chinese Type 54A FFG
3. Mk48 torpedo

Actually im developing a mod which is currently private and it has some LWAMI 3.11 platforms and models in RA, such as the F-35, Buyan or Futlyar
