I know Political science well, and of course how the term is used just like you. It is not synonymous with how the country chooses to have in its Official status outwards towards other countries.Even as I expressed that it sounds nice to have the word democracy but is instead a hard communist agenda. Scratching the surface then the rules of the game are different. When it comes to your suggestions on other countries' past or present attitudes, here too it differs greatly. GDR or just (DDR). Not much to add to the story the common man is sufficiently initiated over what happened between the years 1949-1990.

As for the US, everyone knows that the country is a United federal republic, and a number of different Autonomous regions. A country that does not have a communist agenda on paper, which pleases me. :yep:
