Willow:
Ok, I have mastered the Esc/Save Exit/Game Saved Successfully/OK/Exit to Menu...And the patrol is saved. Thanks. Query re: sound - I found that I had no gramaphone sound because I had dampened the Option/Sound to nothing. So with that changed I have old 1940 records. But, I dislike keeping the 'Mood music' too. How can I get rid of that but keep the gramaphone? If I clear the sound file, but leave the gramaphone file in Data, the program crashes. Maybe I leave one OGG sound file behind in Data/Sound? Rain - the bridge crew has no auto-placed rain gear - had a long period of heavy weather, but the bridge crew was in dry day-gear throughout. I recall a MOD for heavy weather gear in the GW SH3. Available here? Finally where is a current date in the patrol shown? Looked everywhere and did not find it. Inbound messages have time but no date. Huh? Appreciate the assistance and sorry to be a pest. Archive1 |
New submarines in carrer still not available...? LSH3 2020 mod

[SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH]
Hi guys, I currently have a problem in my career about submarines... It is July 2, 1940. I currently have a type VIIB since the start of the campaign in Stralsund (training flotilla), passing by the 2nd flotilla during my second patrol and finally, the 7th flotilla. from 5 patrol, I got a message telling me that new submarines were available (IXB and VIIC). I went to the submarine management area to look and there were no submarines available (only the VIIB that I currently own). I'm already on my 11th patrol and I'm starting to doubt there's a problem. Why are there no submarines available, when they "should" be available since early 1940 like the VIIC (between February and June) ? Do i have to do any manipulation of the game files ? Or is it an internal mod problem ? If it is necessary to make a modification of the files of the game, I am a real noob XD https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/att...1&d=1632846722 |

You must rendezvous with it. Be careful of collisions. Did you receive radio instructions to refit at the supply ship? It's been a long time but I do not remember them in the game in 1939 - 1941. If you don't see it you may need to Save the Game exit the patrol and then reload the game. |
ok thanks

Blackswan:
thank you sir. Now know where I am on the calendar. If it is any where near 14 Oct 1939 Scapa Flow will look inviting. Archive1 |
On my 17th war patrol I get ordered to AL 73...
Hi
On my 17th war patrol, and I have just been ordered to perform a patrol in Grid AL 73... Problem is there is no AL 73, only 71, 72, 74 and 75... Is there something I am missing? Best regards Rokvam |
Scapa Flow
A question: On 14 Oct 1939 Gunter Prein entered Scapa Flow and found the British fleet asleep. I am now at sea on patrol on 7 Oct 1939 in LSH20. If I get into Scapa Flow will I find any targets? That is: have any ships been programmed into the scenario for Scapa Flow on this date or has it been left empty by the programmers for program economy? The latter is understandable. I just don't want to waste fuel for nothing.

Scapa Flow
I entered Scapa Flow around this time in the war, and found a Batleship (don't recall the name), a Carrier and an auxiliary cruiser ripe for the taking.
So I think you will find something wo sink if you enter around this date... Best Regards Rokvam |
Rokvan:
Thanks for the reply. Interesting. Adding up those three would make a spectacular event if one could get out again, as Prein did. Lots of tonnage there to collect. I would suspect the battleship would be the Royal Oak that still remains as a memorial to the sailors that died as she sank. Have to think about the approach from the far eastern side. Probably much at night to avoid the air CAP available in 1939, but would depend on the weather. Archive1 |
Rokvam: My apologies for using Rokvan...missed the 'M'.

Scapa Flow
Yes, night time approach is recommended... Aircraft can be a nuisance for sure.
Your batteries have a reasonable endurance though, and you should be able to dive some way away from your target, get in and get out, without saturating your atmosphere with Co2... Viel Glück und gute Jagd Best regards |
