Dowly - get your butt back to base - theres Russians that need shooting down and a 110 that needs to be used as a decoy, i mean, a recon ;)
A few random shots of the formation flying from our last mission - Duggy and I in a close formation - http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...2-49-21-99.jpg Finger four, a little wide due to flak - http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...2-54-37-57.jpg And, if you all remember my rant on flak, out of the WHOLE damn formation I am hit by the VERY FIRST piece of bloody flak shot at us and the others make it through un-touched! - http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t...2-55-54-43.jpg Fortunately I made it back to base, just as my wheels were about to touch the ground my engine went inoperable, was a damn goo bit of luck nursing it home all the way from south of Stalingrad to our home airfield! I knooow. But the RAF is keeping me busy over at Tunisia. :-? And it's cold in Stalingrad, my nipples fell off the last time.
Oh and Kratos, the tracks werent saved for me either. I didnt got any message using the quick record thingy, but when I pressed ESC, it said "Stop Recording" instead of "Start Recording" on that one button thingy. |

:hmm:
I must say it didnt go smooth, 1st: You both didnt get the map loaded, the only thing I did closed DCG which was still in the Background, and started IL2 again. 2nd: Kratos key mapping went crazy as he mentioned buttons didnt work anymore. but we had some great sorties thought, but damn the amount of aircraft in the air is just madness :o thought we all crashlanded almost everytime (except for dowly's last sortie) I havent been killed yet (unbelievable) really liked the BF110 sortie, great fun! Meh, the 110 sortie sucked rusty nails. The only time I could catch the bstards where when they landed. I just stick with the 109. :yep:

but nailing a Spitfire with this heavy fighter is so satisfying :yep: and hell, its one darn good ground buster, stable and very clean in its dive. HunterICX |
Well atleast your targets were at the same altitude, the big formation me & Kratos chased were at ~5000m, we being at 3000m. And then there was the veteran/ace pilot I chased for good 10 minutes without scoring a single hit. :nope:
But yes, as for ground pounder it's excellent, easy to trim and keep stable on low level raids. |
I know what you mean about chasing the twuts for ages:cry: dogged one for ages and then one passed me ''think the stoopid sod was reading a newspaper or summit'' i give up the chase on original and turned on him, he never knew what hit him :rotfl:

Last time I went over the front, my nipples exploded with delight,(;) ) when they saw the big formation of bombers just waiting to be shot down. |

You sure it wasn't a B-25? And that the pilot wasn't a very ticked off bombardier? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi.../Yossarian.jpg |

Hunter getting busy... http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...hunter0027.jpg Dowly taking his frustration out on the ground troops coz there was nothing in the air around him ;) http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d.../dowly0011.jpg I was too busy trying to get back to base with limited controls  |
