one question everything works great except im experiencing ctd when im in the crew department (F7) and moving crew around and i get a ctd, now this does not happen everytime only at random times, i can move lets say 5 crew members around then on the 6th member it crashes. never had that happen b4 playing the many years with any big mod... any thoughts?

To me WAC5 has crossed the SH3 engine capability, giving random CTDs everywhere anytime. So it’s normal.
Long time i uninstalled it.

fifi is very severe with wac5.2

This supermod is a bit less stable than LSH2020 in 1920 x 1080 resolution due to limit ram memory that is sure but I think it should be tested with the new 1920x1080 DGUI (lighter than ARB widegui, eats less ram !) and I think WAC will have a nice stability.

I will test DGUI with wac5.2 soon because WAC5.2 is a wonderfull supermod !

Remove specific sounds from WAC5.2?

Hello,

I am currently playing a campaing on WAC5.2 with the complete sound package and I LOVE it, except for the coughing  There's nothing fun about hearing the same 3 coughs every 20 seconds on a loop. I know those are added through the complete sounds package, but i don't wanna lose all the other marvellous sounds the mod adds, so i was wondering, can i just delete them from the mod files or will that break the game? And if I cannot just delete them, how can I still enjoy the complete sound package without my experience being ruined by uninterrupted coughing?

ivanov.ruslan 02-18-21 11:04 AM

You can use the file Amb OceanSkyline.wav from WAC 5.01

There is no cough :har:

If you use a complete sound for WAC, deactivate mod, delete the above file, reactivate, and the cough disappears

CaveCanem 02-18-21 11:17 AM

I'll try that, thanks !

ericlea 02-18-21 04:42 PM

For me the coughs are nice :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:
But yes as ivanov says :

simply desactive "complete sound for wac" mod

in this mod, delete the file Amb OceanSkyline.wav
and active again "complete sound for wac"

and it will be ok for you ^^

The new DGUI_1920x1080 adapted for WAC5.2 is ready !

https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=248596

It is a really precious widegui for WAC5.2 !
Because of its lightness, it allows you to play wac5.2 with greatly improved stability !
Much better stability than with ARB or Ahnenerbe widegui.

For example, with ARB or Anhenherbe 1920x1080, I couldn't load wac5.2 to Wilhelmshafen base with full map F5 activated (needs to much ram !).

Now with DGUI 1920x1080 I can do it without any problem and wac5.2 runs very well in this huge port !

Amazing !

It is the best solution today to play WAC5.2 in 1920x1080 !

Hello Kaleuns:)

Is it possible to play WAC 5.2 and WAC 5.0 Full_Interior mod with the DGUI mod? It's to massive for ARB and Mano's WidescreenGUI. I love the Type IX interior.:)

ivanov.ruslan 03-01-21 10:40 AM

Try the link from the previous post

It is possible today to play WAC5.2 + DGUI 1920x1080 + Full Interior (with animations) in the Black Sea Campaign.

tests are underway in atlantic but It does CTD at Load screen in Lorient with type 9.

You can test by your side.

And you can try too with this Hansolo's mod which makes wac5.2 lighter :

WAC5.0 Stripped_down_Harbours_and_Flags_beta
https://www.dropbox.com/s/52lcgwdj62...s_beta.7z?dl=1

(I haven't tried WAC5.2 yet with this mod + DGUI 1920x1080 but it can perhaps work^^)

What is certain today is that WAC5.2 + DGUI1920x1080 works more stable with less CTD than ARB1920x1080, that's already a great new.

:-)

I tested it yesterday evening with the stripped_down_harbours_and_flags_beta + Full_Interior mod and it worked fine with the Type IX- boat in Lorient. This afternoon i try to start in Wilhelmshafen. The DGUI is really good to play WAC stable:yeah:

Hi guys! one question. Has anyone found a fix for starting patrols at Bergen?

Everytime I try i always spawn slighly behind the uboat pen and on ground, leading to my death. I know its got something to do with moving the spawn coordinated but i dont know how to do that. Also starting patrol at sea leads me to the same outcome.

Thank you!
