Good Missions to ease into?

I've been trying to play DW on an off for years, and while I have most of the mechanics down, my largest issue is finding fun missions that aren't impossible (and throw 400 surface and sub-surface contacts at you).

Can anyone recommend a few missions that are light on contacts, and good for someone not to get overwhelmed?

Specifically where you control a sub?

Thanks!

The default Russian Rebellion campaign is pretty good for this. It starts off slow and eases you into it. I don't think weapons start flying until the fourth mission.

Wow! Of all the people to reply...I learned so much from your videos, thank you so much for doing them. :)

The first mission of the Russian campaign kicked my butt (I get counter detected easily) and it's confusing to me given the number of contacts (I think I counted over 8 with show truth after losing).

Guess I'll keep at it. Thanks again!

You're welcome!

The first mission is pretty straight-forward, you just have to mark all the contacts in the periscope (assuming you're doing the 688(I) mission). Are you playing it with a mod? For example, the stock campaign isn't tuned for the changes RA makes and it can break some missions.
