Furball south-east of Cambrai.
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1...8201420og7.jpg LT. James Plainviews first kill in his new Sopwith Camel. He is by far the highest rated pilot of RFC-46, with his 31 claims and 16 comfirmed kills! Let's see how long his luck will last... http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1...8360234mn5.jpg |

The wingman of James Plainview, December 1917.
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/7...7032528vh3.jpg Yet another furball over Ypres! The town has seen alot of these since the third battle of Ypres (the Battle of Passchendaele) was fought. Although the battle is more or less over, the germans send alot of patrols in the area. http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/5...7275590gx4.jpg http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/6...7294856wh2.jpg And once again, Captain (former LT) James Plainview is victorious! I have to tell you lads, I'm getting rather fond of him. 41 claims, 21 comfirmed. |
Sorry for doublepost...
Nearly the end for a promising pilot! Out of ammo, and then I got hammered by an Albatros on a low altitude, managed to take down the bird in a hurry, was leaking fuel like nothing of this world. Plane beyond repair. Lived to tell the tale though. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/8...2332540jz6.jpg Another ace goes down at the hands of James Plainview! 48 claims, 33 comfirmed. February 1918. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/9...2471509au5.jpg |
Major James Plainview makes history (or, to be more precise, changes it) when he shoots down Manfred Von Richthofen a.k.a the Red Baron, over Ypres, February 1918.

Three questions:
Does your AI squad in Over Flanders Fields score lots of kills? Or do they rarely shoot down other pilots? If Franz von Hohn and James Plainview had a dogfight, who would win? :hmm: Is that German gunner in the two-seater wearing a watch cap? |
1: Does your AI squad in Over Flanders Fields score lots of kills? Or do they rarely shoot down other pilots?
A: They do on the scoreboard which is in the campaign menu, but I dont think the have the same scoring system as you have when they score a kill in the game I can be wrong ofcourse as I havent really kept an eye on it. also In game Phase2 I have the impresion that the friendly AI is rather dull, they seem to improved it a lot in Phase 3 (Payware thought) so the AI is more active then they are in Phase 2 check out the Phase 3 Trailer here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132553 2: If Franz von Hohn and James Plainview had a dogfight, who would win? A: one of them for sure, but I think the outcome would be random. 3:Is that German gunner in the two-seater wearing a watch cap? A: havent flewn in a German 2 seater so cant answer that one. 2. James Plainview, if he flew his Sopwith Camel. The Camel can out maneuver any Albatros with it's incredibly sharp right turn (really lads, that right turn of the Camel has saved my butt a whole bunch of times). 3. He was referring to one of my earlier pictures Hunter (I guess...) I really don't know, I do know that he managed to get some hits on my Pup, but nothing near as fatal as I usually get... Oh, and here is James Plainview, shooting down a Fokker DV.II, arguably the best plane of the war. Since these buggers started to show up around Douai, things have turned pretty nasty for the lads of RFC-46. http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/2...0265984uh8.jpg |

That puts you just above Georges F. Madon of France as the 24th best WW1 Pilot and the 6th best British Pilot . A: Manfred von Richthofen, or " The Red Baron". Source: http://www.triviaplaying.com/74_history_Q_.htm |
