To DWX team

I hope we could have something from you soon.
Maybe you could release a first version with your 3D models already done, before releasing something more complete ... ?
I know you worked hard, and I'd like to see your work in MP games

More than likely...it will be after the release of retail version.

Actually lets take a step back here, DWX has'nt really been annoucned has it? All I've seen so far is some sigs on the board and thats all. Lets stay focus on what we have rather than what we hope to have. DWX will come at the right time, not early and certainly not late!

Well ... you probably never read me on the forum, or you didn't said that Hellcat
I'm probably one of the most satisfied user of DW and one of the best SCS supporter you could find, often playing it online and creating many scenario for this.
So I probably focus more than you on what we already have :P

But this doesn't prevent me to try to get some news about DWX because we haven't any for a long time now.

Save us from ugly Typhoons DWX team!!

Hellcat 11-27-05 12:24 AM

Well certainly more is better when it comes to this genre of game, I'll admit that there's always something in there to be toyed with. Hell the amount of work that was accomplished with the mods for SHIII has been amazing thus far. Anyways it would be nice to hear something from that team but I don't expect it thats all.

Kapitan 11-27-05 05:14 PM

typhoons to short they ment to be the biggest submarines in the world but there just a blob you would have though they could at least get it right the second time around saves a lot of work

the SCX2C typhoon is more like it the propellors are enclosed the DW one isnt its like the DW team have taken one step forward then one back then going to take one forward again makeing 2 times more work for them selves

DWX should be out by now they are realy taking thier time on this and i know alot of people who are fed up of waiting and have sold DW some have even left the sub comunity al together JJ for instance havnt seen him for over 6 months

XabbaRus 11-27-05 06:01 PM

Kapitain you know nothing....

Also DW models are the same models as in SC.

Kapitan 11-27-05 06:14 PM

hold on im not a modder i leave that for you but thats my personal opinion.

but i will say this

what ive seen of your models are very good yeah ok this is out of my depth as you say i know nothing i dont not on modding me i just simply wait impaciently for the release as do a good 80% of us do.

i have been told by some other people that DWX should be out soon (not from subsim but VMC) again im waiting and waiting and its true they ahve lost a bit of the enthusiasm we had a post not long ago about some one selling DW on amazon because he got fed up of waiting.

im not lightly to do that but you have to hit the market at the correct time with the correct product or it will bounce and yes this part i do know what im talking about i studied buisness for 5 years (and still cant spell)

if DWX was launched a month ago say they could have printed on the box new models for downloads which would look alot better than wait for updates

not picking holesbut i found SCX models realy realy good and realistic but changing from SC to DW it feels as if they ahve taken a step back the typhoon went back to its stubby self so in one sence you went forward but went back and now going forward do you get what im saying ?

i admit i know nothing on modding i just want what every one else wants the next bit its like a tv soap cant leave ur seat till the next bit begins

XabbaRus 11-27-05 06:33 PM

But how does anyone on VMC know when DWX is supposed to be coming out soon? What have they to do with it?

If people have bought DW in the expectation that DWX is coming out soon and have decided to sell it cos DWX hasn't materialised as quick as they hope then that is daft.

As for new models. SCS can't sanction any of that. Legal reasons and also other things. Kind of like saying hey our models aren't too hot but we know some good ones you can get for free. DW isn't about the models but a lot more. They just look good, but are a distraction really, though I like my ones ;)

SCS have done enough by making DW open enough to muck about with it and put in new models etc...

TLAM Strike 11-27-05 07:37 PM

You know you can install the models from SCX and alter the DB to use them...

Sure...that'll help the new users get interested in DWX. Make them go off and mangle their installs with applets with no readmes, j3ds for a whole other sim....

I'm reasonably computer savvy and I hosed an install trying to put in the Xmodels a while back.

TLAM Strike 11-27-05 10:10 PM

Thats why you backup your database & graphics folders and don't install SCX to the DW directory. :know:

Kapitan 11-28-05 02:28 AM

some members know because they work along side USMORS which work sort of in conjunction but i only get that from my CO other than that a mystery
