And! - they are not compatible with my "TMFTT"... http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...es/weeping.gif

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...es/biggrin.gif

But no problems when mod's disabled!

Wonder if there's an explanation? Or can I do something?

FAdmiral 08-05-07 10:06 PM

I would say if the patrol won't load with that mod installed, then something
is interfering with the way I have the patrol set up. Will the mod work with
your vanilla patrols from the game?

I've tested these patrols:

Coral Sea
Sink Yamato
Harbour Stealth
Taco ring the Bells

They all fail with mods enabled (TM 1.4 with additional stuff), but they do run fine with mods disabled...

WP01 through WP05 (org. SHIV patrols) all runs with mods enabled...

FAdmiral 08-07-07 10:45 AM

Try to get back to the person who did the TM mod to see if he
has any ideas on why the mod won't work with editor created
missions or patrols. I will see if I can PM him too...

It doesn't work because the SC and MS are changed from type=0 and type=5 to type=1.

If you open your mission in a text editor, find the SCs and MSs, and change their types to type=1 they will work fine in TM.

/edit aug. 8:

Do work for "Coral Sea", but not for the others...

So... Now I've split my mod into two parts, isolating campaign, roster and sea in one part. Doesn't take many seconds to enable/disable and now all missions and patrols works.

Thanks for the explanation, tater

I have been testing the "Sink the Yamato" patrol for the last week. I wanted to
see if the Yamato TF would indeed make all the stops that I had in the editor
makeup. I had its TF make a large circular patrol starting in Japan and then
ending in Japan but stopping at various ports for limited amounts of time. I knew
the best way to find it was to wait at a paticular spot on its route. What I didn't
know was when it would get there BUT I do now. I just sank the Yamato along with 22 other merchants (while I was waiting) also 1 DD by accident (should have been 23 merchants). Going by what tater had said about going .001 speed at a port, I deceided to try that feature to simulate the TF stopping at the port for
fuel or the like. The TF had approx. 6 port stops. ranging from the Philippines
to Palau to Rabaul, down the slot, around the Solomons and then on to Guam
and Saipan befor heading back to Tokyo. I started the patrol at Brisbane on
June 6, 1943. My tonnage was a modest 182,374. All in all, a very good patrol.
Side Note: I saw Adm. Halseys Carrier TF in my travels too. (it came from the
camapign layers, not my editor)

can you give us a good download link for these missions and any others you've done?

maybe even upload them here at subsim?

im especially interested in your coral sea mission it sounds great

I can't get any of these downloads to work. We have author submit at http://silenthunter.filefront.com/ Plus , if you make improvements you don't need to go back and edit links everywhere you post because we can put an outdated message in the old one.

If you got air and surface battles I'd like to try it..assuming it works with stock.
