Have been using EAX for a month now, and man it's is impressive.
Really adds to the immersion for me. Night surface attacks are especially impressive now.
Couldn't find the release thread to leave feedback when I downloaded it, so just wanted to pop in and say good work Vickers :up:

Went to EAX, Data, Sound and found the file that I'm talking about that gives the Deckgun commands.

PO9$ sub_deck gun, "also EW."

Overall, about a total of four that give the actual voice commands I'm hearing for the different circumstances.

Able to hear it clearer it sounds like they're saying "bolt, aim, ready, ready.." then the gun fires.

See if you can find it...If so, why am I getting it and no one else is. If it's not part of your mod, I have to figure how I got the sound file in there. I tweaked a lot of sounds long ago, but did a clean install.

Now, I did get crazy once..added some sounds like gomer pyle saying "shazaam" when a torp hit...lot's of funny things like that, but have those saved elsewhere named differently and none show up in your sound file. I'll have to get that video done..it is funny to hear gomer, ernestT, Barney, ect...in your sub.

it's part of EAX but in RFB, different deckguns use separate sounds, so not all deckguns get the voiced commands.

Ok, I use TMO and have asked others and so far no one has said they've heard it...

I am using this mod OM and OMEGU without problems:D. But I too am hearing the deck gun comands 'load, aim, ready'. Sounds great, but the problem is that I am playing the German side, with German voices. Would love to have that command in German, as the mod includes some great sounds and effects.

i don't have a german voiced deck gun sound,
but you can change it yourself.
check out the following sounds in EAX-

PO9$ sub_deck gun.wav (very near)
PO9$ sub_deck gunEW.wav (middle ranged)
PO9$ sub_deck gunEWW.wav (very far away)
PO9$ sub_deck gunUW.wav (underwater)
PO9$ sub_deck gunINT.wav (interior)

Hi vickers, I really like this mod but I'm having a small problem. In TMO there's a depth charge splash sound that you can hear from inside the subs and it seems that this mod changes that sound and I can't hear it anymore. Is there a way to get this effect back and keep all the other EAX sounds? Thanks.

it's in but not as loud as in TMO, expect an update soon.

My favorite part of this mod is that you managed to fix the sound of sinking ships on sonar. My game never had that even though the sound file was there. REally adds a lot when you are doing a submerged attack or have to dive to avoid DDs right after firing torps. Thanks.

How did you do that by the way?

i added another soundsource in the particles.dsd
and linked it up to the sinking bubbles of the ship.

Is the EAX mod still compatible with TMO 2.0 + latest beta update? What about SonarTargetFix2? I'm doing a reinstall of all my mods and want to make sure these are compatible.
