Warship Mod v3.0?
 
I have been trawling the internet for mods and I came across some screenies for Chinese U-47s mod where you can sail warship models in silent hunter 3. That sounds great and I was ready to install multish3 and have a standalone warship version of my install, start a new career etc. The only problem I have is that the download links I have found are all either dead and buried or riddled with security issues, PUPs etc. Is there a straight up clean download link on this forum or elsewhere.

I have to look deeper inside pc but i think even i lost the WSM3.0 Standard SHIII v1.4 but i gues nobody wants to play WSM3.0 Standard when you can have WSM3.0GWX!

I also still have the WSM2.0 with more moddels but FT Messages are broken when using a warship and also this early mod is only playable with Standard SHIII v1.4... maybe somebody can try a little bit for fun but playing a campagin for example with WSM2.0 is pretty anoying and i gues nobody has done it ever...


WSM3.0 has 3 parts:

SSType VIIB = Type 1924 Class Fleet Torpedo boats
SSType IXB = Type 1934 Class Destroyers
SSType IXD2 = Light Cruiser "Leipzig"


Those U-boat types not listed (includes Type IIA,IID,VIIC,VIIC/41,VIIC/42,IXC,IXC/40,XXI)
are not modified to warships you still can use these submarines in Multiplayer games.

Thanks succat. My issue I believe was due to being a bit silly and attempting to use it with a copy of my U123 install. It was a lightly modded install but I had made quite a few changes myself which were not in the mod list. Ive installed a fresh stock version with gwx with no personal touches and it loaded today before work. I havent tried to start it yet though. I appreciate the pm too mate. Im looking forward to sailing a destroyer to start with. Do you know if the 16km mod works with it. I havent installed any of the gwx optional mods at all.

Hi guys... I still have problem with the secondary armament of Deutschland... Only the main Guns appear and four antiaircraft guns... I can't understand what am i doing wrong...

I just tried this mod with no other mods installed.

I had a cruiser and went on the Ark Royal mission, I slaughtered the escorts but when I tackled the AK I think I ran out of shells.
It was being hit numerous times but no damage, after a long battle the cruiser stopped firing, so I gave up.

I was hoping I could fire a few torps but I got the message, "We are too low to fire torpedoes." I couldn't understand that seeing as I was on the surface, plus I couldn't access any UZO even if I could fire a torp, unless I was doing something wrong.

I admit it was fun though, I enjoyed it.

2nd go with this and this time I sank the carrier as well as the escorts, not sure what difference was but the cruiser's shells did more damage.

I got a bit of damage but it was minor, got a small fire amidships but ships sailing OK.

I tried another mission, this time I used the heavy cruiser, went to the rock of Gibraltar, I couldn't believe it.

I sank numerous DD's and a few PT boats, then I got rammed by a DD who got stuck on my bow, so then the enemy wouldn't fire at me because of the DD.
I carried on sailing with is stuck there, eventually it fell apart and blew up, then the attack continued.

I got pounded by DD's and PT boats and got my guns damaged except for one, I got rammed a few times and each time the DD self destructed, so cutting it short I could only fire from one side of the ship, so any on the other side had a free fire at me.

Then my engines gave up, I was stranded with hardly any fire power and 4 PT boats circling me firing AA all the time, I had a fire burning but was still afloat and fighting when I could.
It lasted hours, I left it running and went for my evening meal, came back and it was still going on, I called it quits and ended the game, but what a battle.
