I am new here and suprisingly I have questions

Hello!

After starting 4th new campaing with SH5 without ever getting past the first mission, I ran into submarine that I identified as flagless U class 540 tons submarine. I sank it with my deck gun, however I did not get the tonnages or markings from it into the captains log.

This makes me very sad puppy because I have only managed to sink 1 merchant and it was ... well.. HUGE amount of work because I am new to SH 5 and I play with TWOS and full realism including real nav.

So, whats up with this?

Also, I did find many videos explaining ROAFB and attack disk, but not a single one that really explains the torpedo controls one by one so you could try to eyeball the hit in case of emergency. (I still have no idea if the bearing in torpedo settings is relative to you or real bearing of the ship you are attacking.)

Also, Thanks for TWOS team.

I wish you a warm welcome at Subsim.com. Surprisingly :D

I have never succeeded to sink one of these Polish submarines, and surely never tried with the Deck Gun which performance has been highly reduced in WoS. If a damaged target sinks because of high waves or bad weather, then unfortunately you are not credited for the sinking. This may be one explanation, or it's a glitch in WoS.

Greetings and welcome!

Thank you for warm welcome.

Here is screenshot that clarifys the occurence.
The one ship sunk is merchant and the tonnage matches.
Sub is missing from right side alltogether even though it is noted as sunk.
