I picked up the Pup during my time playing Phase 2 of Over Flanders Fields, I did fly the SE.5 a couple of missions but preferred the Pup.
Had the pleasure of meeting the real thing face to face a few years ago in London, lovely aircraft.
She'll stall more easily than I expected at first in ROF, but the trick is listening to the noise of the wind going past the cockpit, if it all goes quiet then be sure to point the nose down at some point in the near future or it'll take itself there! :haha:
The one MG is very annoying though, but forces you to follow the Dicta Boelcke number 3 to the letter. The Camel is nice, with two MGs and a very impressive flying ability...but is as lethal to the pilot flying it as it is to the enemy. They didn't call it 'The widowmaker' for nothing! :haha:

Yeah the Camel is a devish plane to fly because of the huge amount of tourque generated by the rotory engine. Mind you that any machine having two guns in RoF is always going to be somewhat better off in a furball.

I've just been practicing tilt-shift techniques in photoshop, and thought I'd share with the group.

Backdrop is of Frankfurt in June 1945, so you'll just have to pretend it was taken in the first week of May. :D

It wasn't until I pasted the link and previewed it here that I realise how lucky I got with the shadows of the 109 and the cathedral. :o Will remember for next time.

Very nice, wouldn't want to be the Hurri pilot that wound up that deep in German territory though. :o

Especially not so early in the war. That's a 109E after all.:O:

Herr-Berbunch 09-25-12 01:39 PM

It is 1945, mostly a free reign over the country, Allies advancing from every direction.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

TarJak 09-27-12 12:20 AM

Tasty work HB.

Hmmm, something appears to be wrong with my handling... Oh it looks like there is something missing:

I'll just park under this nice shady tree and have a rest:

LOL!

I remember parking my I-16 under a tree in IL2 STURMOVIK:BIRDS OF PREY!

Herr-Berbunch 09-27-12 01:40 AM

Hey, no fair. How do you fly the 109 and not get the windscreen covered in oil? Or was it valet parked?

Nice shots, as always. :yeah:

LOL, judicious use of radiators, prop pitch and throttle controls, oil only happens when evil Spitire pilots shoot hole in my engine now.
