xbox360 controller for windows and IL-2 1946

I have that game from steam and I've played this game a lot with that Saitek ST-90 joystick (which it is the ****ty joystick ever.) I wonder if I have the xbox360 controller for windows, will it work for IL-2 1946? :hmmm:
