Wilhem "Willy" Wonke, Chief engineer of U-36. An aspiring singer, Wonke had plans to persue a career in the opera after the war. Sadly, this did not come to pass as Wonke would later be transferred to the cursed U-666 which was lost with all hands while on a top secret mission to Greenland.

A stylized tulip with red stem and green bulb adorned the conning tower of U-36. The boat's crew were nicknamed "Der Ausschuss Kinder" due to the crew being composed mainly of underperforming naval academy grads and derelicts with disciplinary issues. Nevertheless, U-36 would make history.

The creepy thing is that they don't know how U-666 sunk.

"There is no explanation for its loss."

Truly a blast from the past...

Thing is when these start showing up, it's generally time to cut back on the rum. :03:

If I saw the Flying Dutchman or whatever that ghost ship was, I would immediately make my rum ration a lot bigger. :arrgh!:

Ah The Flying Dutchman makes another appearance. The U-666 must be nearby, as the sight of this phantom ship is a portent of doom.

I like that you have the right number of funnels smoking. How many movies couldn't get that right?

Well spotted sir....the aft funnel was where the passengers pets were located/kennelled and also served to house some engine room and kitchen uptakes IIRC.
