Hi new members, we really appreciate the feedback. We are really sorry we have to make you work hard to join the forum--we want you here, but the steps to keep out spam are necessary.

Yes, I know, having to answer questions is a big pain in the butt, I feel the same way when I register at forums. But the reality is, without this barrier, a forum as popular as Subsim would be slammed with hundreds of spam accounts daily.

As it is now, with the Q&A, we still get 2~5 spam accounts that make it through. We have a dedicated team of spam killers who zap them before they can post their spam.

I think the registering process was very entertaining. It was nice to encounter a different approach to registration. The answers were easily found and I wouldn't mind answering even a couple more.

Considering it was meant to prevent ads for male enhancement products, I say its a very effective and fun way to do it. :D
