Macchi is a very good plane, it feels stable and can turn pretty well.. if only it had better armament. :yep:

Now why would Italians want guns fitted to their planes ? :hmm:

:p

A few more caps from the second sortie

HunterICX goes in first

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...rade/hunt1.jpg

Two fighters came at me head-on missed the first but struck the second

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...uarade/me1.jpg

Zabbarus joined the game and he heads in for a kill

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...arade/zab1.jpg

But Zabba fell prey to the gunners and managed to bail

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...arade/zab2.jpg

The first fighter that i missed turned on me (oh! dear sigh!)

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...uarade/me2.jpg

And i managed to bail as well

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...uarade/me3.jpg

HunterICX gets another

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...rade/hunt2.jpg

HunterICX had to do a bit dodging here!
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...rade/hunt3.jpg

But his wingman came to his rescue ;)

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...rade/hunt4.jpg

All was well for HunterICX in the end

The Macchi may have weak firepower, but they dont seem to run out of ammo that fast like our spits.

I've been dodging that bugger for quiet some time wondering when he will run out of ammo.

HunterICX

Aye a know what you mean  The last sortie, not much i could capture out of it. Now that was wierd, heavy cloud formation played havok with the trk.It stuttered and farted like Jimbuna on a friday morning ''after the beer'' ;):rotfl:

I got a little short burst on this one and surprise i was out of ammo :x
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...de/me10003.jpg

Then headed back to base ;)

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...de/me20005.jpg

Now that was a wierd trk. on the playback it showed me submerging into the runway like a sub, then it showed the proper landing :hmm:

XabbaRus 06-19-2008 02:57 PM

Very cool, we flying tonight?

HunterICX 06-20-2008 05:42 AM

@Kratos: you where the only one landing that last sortie, Xabba and I just managed to glide passing the frontline to avoid beeing captured:p

HunterICX

XabbaRus 06-20-2008 06:03 AM

Yea and I also learnt how slow you can go in the Spit without stalling.

Same counts for these Macchi's they can keep up with the spits very well, they turn as fast and perform just as well....like said above that they only lack in firepower.

HunterICX

XabbaRus 06-20-2008 07:13 AM

So are we going to fly tonight?

Kratos 06-20-2008 06:24 PM

Well i recorded the first two trks. of the three tonight, unfortunately they make no sense whatsoever:-? I think dcg has crocked it up big style, planes flying backwards, sideways, shooting into thin air, the 109 i bagged in the first sortie, ''I was looking forward to seeing the playback on that one.'' according to the playback i was shooting at nothing, but the fecka still went down smokin' :hmm: Did anyone else record tonight? Had fun tonight

XabbaRus 06-21-2008 02:30 AM

That was fun but I have to stop crashing.

Newsflash, Hunter can get the plane back to base, but has problems taking off now. Apparently his joystick goes wonky. Now what's that about craftsmen blaming tools...:)

HunterICX 06-21-2008 03:21 AM

Kratos: do you save it in TRK? or NTRK?

Xabba: Its not my joystick its the calibration between IL2 and my joystick that goes haywire sometimes (over-sensitivity) 1 tiny pull any direction and my aircraft is responding on maximum.

NTRK, i have a key set to record

but its only since i started using dcg, the gremlins have creeped in.

Aye, just like that first sortie, we started on water in Italy while I launched the Afrika campaign map :o

the DCG is Cursed I tell ya

HunterICX

Kratos 06-21-2008 06:01 PM

I just flew a couple of the dcg campaigns we've been doing (just for testing purposes) to try and figure out this ntrk prob. Done the more than 25 aircraft and the more than 50 aircraft. and i had no probs with the ntrk's. IE: playback and frapping. Run them through vdub..''potential to make a nice movie'' ;) Sooo my assumptions are ''DCG has difficulty with the online sorties'',seems to be a lot of lagging going on ''yea a know the clouds play a major factor'' but there was lots of cloud formation when i played campaigns. Would the number of players on the server play a part? Not that there is ever a lot of players on the server, Wouldn't mind getting to the bottom of this one, because we've had some good sorties the last few nights.

XabbaRus 06-21-2008 06:07 PM

Is vdub any good?

Valantine 06-21-2008 08:21 PM

its a very good utility, I use it for all my editing  and theres a hell of a lot it can do that ive never even looked at yet.

XabbaRus 06-22-2008 07:28 AM

so can you add effects and stuff. I looked at the website and it said it doesn't do so much as adobe but I'll give it a try.
