I did it

After 17 years of using Internet Explorer, I am moving to Chrome. I found an extension that gets rid of the hideous underlined links, I've moved and arranged my complex array of favorites, and bumped the Chrome icon to the primer spot on my Quick Launch.

:haha: Yeah, I really like sticking with what works, no fads for me, but lately IE8 (can't use IE9 on Win XP (and there it is again!)) has been breaking on some websites (YouTube, Slate).

It's going to take time getting used to the slightly different look though

Okay, so the next time google takes your picture, make sure you're not wearing black socks.:D:03:

In case you are Facebook or Google+ user, you probably do not care for getting profiled, but still: I recommend you find out about Chrome's feature to spy on your internet history, which can be prevented by some addon or mod. Forgot the details since I left Explorer for Opera, but it should not be too difficult to find out.

While you are at it, consider Sandboxie. It makes a nice team with Explorer and Opera, and so why not trying it with Chrome as well.

Chrome is not as intrusive anymore as it was during it's launching years, also is safer now due to a high updating frequence. However, its markets hare is around 25%, wich makes it one of the most targetted browsers out there. Firefox also has roughly one quarter in market shares, and Explorer over 40%. These three attract the lion's share of hackers' attention.

Opera has less than 2%, that's what influenced my decision in its favour.

I started using Chrome about a year ago. I did not look back to IE..with exception of having to use it for certain companies. Other than that, Chrome is used for all the my fun stuff on the internet. IE I use for work exclusively. I find Chrome faster.
