Thanks for posting these old games. The games and broadcasting have changed a great deal.

I want to hear Dandy Don sing, "Turn Out the Lights" one more time :yep:

Plus I didn't even know they made a 1977 Ford Fairlane station wagon :hmmm:

The first Super Bowl ever played #1 KC vs Green Bay Jan 15th 1967 is on TV right now on the NFL channel which is 154 on Dish ...

Seems it was lost and has now been found :yep:

NFL Owners Are Holding A Conference Call This Afternoon
Quote:

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the NFL owners will have a new conference call today at 2 p.m. EST. This call will be a follow-up to a Friday conference call that flew under the radar.
The real reason for the call :yep:

The NFL also wants to ensure that the players eat a big portion of the anticipated losses from lost revenue. As a result, proposals to the NFLPA have included salary cap reductions for the next couple of years.

I will be very surprised if there is a season at all. Too bad too because I wanted to see what Belichick and McDaniels could do with Cam Newton.

I wouldn't even watch if my dad and my brother were still here to watch it with. :arrgh!:

Apparently the NFL and players union have agreed to go straight from an extended training camp right to the start of the season. No preseason games. Not sure if they'll allow fans in the stands even spacing them out 6ft apart.

Mr Quatro 07-21-20 07:02 PM

Plus testing for Covid-19 everyday when training camp does open and I think every two weeks when the season does start.

The money thing is still up in the air too ...:yep:

I see a pile of bodies with everyone coughing on a famous QB :D

I wonder what happens when one or more teams experience an outbreak. Unless every team (including coaches and staff) in the league are quarantined from the start to the end of the season this is probably going to happen.

So what will be the response?

End of the whole teams season right then?

Maybe just loss of the affected players/coaches/staff and a two week quarantine for the rest of the team to see if they are going to get sick before they can be allowed to play their next game. I'm guessing this would mean at least one or two forfeits which would pretty much kiss their playoff chances goodbye.

This would affect the two teams that they played in the previous weeks too. These teams (and those that they have played in the previous two weeks) would also have to quarantine. I just don't see how the league could handle all that.
