[REL] No crosshair

you don't need to aim at something, it's no FPS ;)
It removes that annoying crosshair

Install with JSGME

Jeevz 03-04-10 02:47 PM

I poked through some files last night looking to get rid of that thing but didn't find it. Thanks!

Will-Rommel 03-04-10 03:45 PM

Thank you for working on improving this damn game!

Michal788 03-04-10 04:04 PM

How do I install this??
Must the file Croshair.dds separate in the folder MODS?
Must i make a folder croshair and than import mob with JGME?

Help me plz both doesnt work.

Will-Rommel 03-04-10 04:06 PM

Normally you just extract the content in your shv directory, then put the extracted folder in the ''MODS'' folder.

Launch jsgme and enable it.

If you put the file separate in the folder MODS.
JGME didnt see him. And you can only select folders in the Import mob... .

The compass mob had the same problem.

And all the others will have, as you don't understand yet how JSGME works ;)
don't worry, just watch out that rar unzipper doesn't create an additionnal folder the same name than the mod compressed file, otherwise it won't work.

Basically, check for this:
In JSGME /MODS folder, mods should be installed like this: MODS/No crosshair/data/etc...

and NOT /MODS/No crosshair/No crosshair/data/etc...

please tell me if it is so ro not, so we can help you

Thanks for your help Zur_zee.
I see the problem. :yeah:
If you copy and past from Winzip(exp) you get 1 separate file.(this was im doing)
But if you EXTRACT it than he makes the folders.
(i didnt know that.)

Now its works.

TheDarkWraith 03-04-10 05:05 PM

can you post a picture to show what this disables please?

ddrgn 03-04-10 05:12 PM

Funny thing is tho, you can target ships using the binoculars, so when the crosshair goes red you can get information from your WO. More for advanced guys I guess.

Jeevz 03-04-10 05:53 PM

Is this the binocs crosshair or the one you get when you right click to go into FPS mode?
