That plane can take one hell of a beating.

The damage model has been improved in 1946.

Good God Moby! Keep 'em comin'! I want to see MORE of OFF, now when I can't play it myself!:damn:

Back on the IL:2 furums I liked to find ways to abuse the physics.

Who has the patience to wait until touchdown to fold wings?

Simple trick, someone asked if it were posible to invert moments before a landing. This was done with one attempt, it's standard stuff.

People on the Ubi forums were saying that hangars were too easy. Obviously I did this to prove them right.

The full sized version of this was my desktop for a LONG time.

On the bright side, the explosion this resulted in took out an undamaged bomber flying in the formation. Why the meatball? I prefer the Japanese quick mission music.

This was my shot to prove I had the patch and to prove the smokestack was also too easy.

I was the first to do this as my old UBI screen name, Yog_Shoggoth. I was inspired when I chased a zeke in a corsair and didn't pull up fast enough to clear the deck. I went through this hole and just lost my right wing. That ment the hole was real and not filled in. I tried it about 30 times in a buffalo before I decided that particular plane was too big and tried the Salamander. Got it my second attempt. Again, I hate the German Quick Mission tune, so I flew American.

Ejected aboutt a quarter second before the plane blew.

Game could look great, too.

All on full realism of course.
A moment of silence for all the virtual pilots that were slammed into hangars, decks of carriers, hulls of carriers, or the good old fashioned ground to bring you these pictures.

@Dan:

:rotfl: When you took those Screenshots I was already somewhere on the ground. in that MP mission :yep: .

PE-2 aka Swiss Cheese

Dowly 03-21-07 05:45 AM

I like the Pe-2. The Bombsight is simple, great fun to see your bombs hit the target. ;)

Yeah , the mission we played we had to bomb a Airfield and it went well (the bombing ofcourse) I manage to drop the lot on a bunch of AA nests.

if you feel like we could do the mission tonight :yep: the flaks on the airfield are real killers :dead:

MobyGrape 03-22-07 12:51 AM

All the others are all things I would try and do, but this one is just a classic and probably not reproducable. Great shot! What a way to go!

When I discovered that the gap between bombs really existed the first thing I thought of was putting a wingtip between 'em. I lost so many planes attempting that and never mannaged. :-?

Here's a screenshot I took of a Wildcat on FS2004. (In case you can't tell, I did edit this pic [obviously;)])

Dowly would have liked this one, if he wasn't messing around with Micro**** Vista.:rotfl:

HunterICX 04-03-07 03:55 AM

:hmm: HunterICX was killed....

Danlisa you didnt photoshop it right as I cant seem to remember
the only thing I remember was when I was almost back to base my engine turned on fire again and KABOOM! fuel explosion.

anyway yeah, the mission I made rocks :yep: its a lovely harbour raid with as jackpot the Germany naval vessel TIRPITZ :smug: its not historical correct but the heck with it,
I,m going to cut down on the search lights as they bloody blind you when you try to look throught the bombing sight, a bit less flak and to make it more challeging, underway we get intercepted by enemy fighters and our escorts will have to defend us
(so dowly , if you join up, you are our Escort or...do you want to go the the darkside and play the Interceptor)
