Why are IX U-Boats the best?

Here is what I sunk in one patrol operating near Iceland May 1940. :DL :DL :DL

The Best bloody patrol I've had in donkeys years, everything just came together.

Way to go!
Keep sinking them!
If my calculations are correct this was a 150K tons patrol!

:nope: I never meet these fat convoys... Congratulations on your patrol though! So where are the chances to encounter a liner the largest? Is it in the vicinity of Iceland?
Because I never (!) encountered an ocean liner in all my careers. But I mostly patrol the mid-Atlantic and a little north of Ireland.

Jimbuna 05-14-11 06:55 PM

Beginners luck :O:

Bakkels 05-14-11 07:13 PM

Heh, funny you should mention that. I'm not unfamiliar with casino's and poker games and the like, and I've seen it too many times to deny that beginners luck exists. My mind tells me otherwise, but my experience says something different.
I never had beginner's luck in sh3 though... :O:
My first few patrols I was polluting the seas with tons of iron and steel. Luckily no one cared back then :haha:

I meet a convoy with Titanic and Queen Mary (liner). Queen Mary goes to Davy Jones' locker; Titanic lost of sight (Captain Smith is an old seawolf...).

Regards.

Ooo...jim is green with envy. :har: :O: :O:

I was just thinking back and it must be about 3 to 5 years ago. Well only a couple more years to ago before I hit it big time again. :)
