This is what happens when you have a 2 yr old co-pilot who tries to take over during a night landing.....

It's like Gerard Depardieu of aviation.

Flying a short trip between Heathrow Airport and Zurich. In the distance you can see the English channel.

I didn't realize until I was passing the airport that the FMC wanted me to add drag to the plane to slow down. :dead: While I was trying to figure out how to get the plane to go around I ended up crashing into a mountain, after a fight with the plane to turn off auto-pilot I came to a stop in this field. Good thing I had turned off crashing.

Passing one of the other Antilles islands, seen from the passenger's cabin.

REX started to update the weather and the game crashed somewhere over Martinique. First time that's happened so I'm going to try flying the route again.

After flying big jet airliners, and planes that pretty much flied themselves the last couple days, I decided to whip out the BN-2 Islander and do some fly arounds of the Grenadines. I really only flew around Mustique island this time, but I'm going to eventually fly all the islands.

Sitting at TVSM starting up the plane. In the background you can see the slope this runway has.

Nice shot out the pilots window

View of the airport in the background
You can barely see it because of all the trees, it's directly below and parallel to my aircraft

I have to say I'm in love with this payware, there's flying birds, parked sail boats, it's all very nice. I found a freeware package that supplements this one by making all the Caribbean islands look nice. Next time I fly this area, I need to remember to switch REX into tropical mode so I can get the beautiful light blue sea.

Had a play with FSX for the first time in a while the other day, dawn flight in a 707 from Sion to Milan Malpensa, swap to the ERJ for a leg down to Ancona.

Climb out from Sion, looks harder from the tower than from the cockpit.
http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/8...7siondepam.jpg

Cleared the mountains, now to point in the right direction for the descent to Italy.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/682...ionclimbam.jpg

Touchdown at Malpensa - not the most grateful but I blame moving to external view to take the screenie. Honestly.

Right, into the modern era. On the far left is the Adriatic, on the right is the Ligurian Sea, just missing out on seeing Corsica.
http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/9...jmilancleg.jpg

Flew towards Rimini and desended through 10k feet ready to talk to Ancona, last screenie was this -

And then FSX crashed with some Nvidia error .

Is that the Captain Sim 707?

Herr-Berbunch 12-01-11 03:08 PM

It is Captain Sim's. :yep:

Tried a freeware version and it was crap.

I've been eye-ing their products lately. Awesome exterior models, although I wonder how they're systems/flight dynamics compare to PMDG.

I'm eye-ing their 777 as no one else seems to be making one, which is a bit funny considering it's one of the most popular with airlines.
