Have a new one: Gregory "Pappy" Boyington was an American fighter ace during World War II (http://en.wikipedia....Pappy_Boyington) (he was awarded both the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross ). He was the leader of the VMF-214 ("The Black Sheep Squadron" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VMA-214 ) "Pappy" Boyington "Black Sheep" Hope you like it, cheers: Otto ;) |

Nice one Otto, one of my favorite pilots and squadrons of WW2. I got to meet some of the surviving members of VMF-214 during the opening of a new part of the Muesum of Flight near Seattle, Washington while I was still living there(got a poster of a Corsair with their sigs on it).:D

Thanks, gents ;)

Mig Mad Marine This plane was flown by U.S. Marine Corps Major John H. Glenn and dubbed "MiG Mad Marine". Glenn flew this aircraft during his time as an exchange pilot with the 25th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Wing, in Korea in mid 1953. He shot down three MiG-15 aircraft. John Glenn later became an astronaut and U.S. senator. Hope you like it, cheers: Otto ;) |
Great job, looks like a real painting and not a photoshop from a photography and some Il2 aircraft (I assume that is what it is, right?).:yeah:
