Nice shots Jimbuna; lifeboats & rafts are kind of eerie. Just found out that my boss's dad was on a merchant that was torpedoed by a U-Boat and found himself having to abandon ship. He was lucky; she told me not all his shipmates made it.

Yeah, my old man told me similar stories many years back.

He was in the merchant navy at the ripe old age of 14/15 having lied about his age. Seeing the Spanish Civil War as a rehearsal for the much bigger one to come in 39.

Luckily, he was never on one of the ships that were sunk during the war.
