Jimbuna's Diecast Collection Part 2

Following on from the original thread:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=183128

This thread is more about the building of the cabinets for displaying the collection and eventually culminates in showing the collection on display.

The pace at which new topics appear in GT will hopefully be counterracted by the number of updates (there are approximately 50 photos) :DL

Okay... here goes:

I started collecting 1/72 scale diecast of post WWII British aviation near the beginning of this year but never had anywhere to display them.

My son purchased a house in August and moved out meaning my daughter could upgrade from what was a pretty small room into her brothers larger vacated one.

The room is aproximately 7' x 12' and ideal for a man cave, so in I went with the computer and set about sorting out my collection.

I'm not really liking the floral pattern wallpaper.

Perhaps some nice border paper is in order :hmmm:

It's there to provide contrast and therefore highlight the incredibly manly bundle of raw lumber propped up against it.

At least that's Jim's story and he's stickin' to it. :shifty: :O:

Mrs. Buna has certainly had his finger in the planning of what we now see here, hence the green pattern on the walls,:hmm2:

If Mrs. Buna is a he then I'd say Jim's got more to worry about than just the wallpaper. :O:

Chris...your a married man yes?

I'm simply grateful the wife didn't insist on it becoming a laundry room or something equally inconsequential :DL
