Saving game
Is it possible to save the game in any way. I am trying to learn this with a friend but we have limited time and really need to be able to save our games to return to them.

Hi JamesB A Warm Welcome to Subsim Sir
Re Wolfpack save game option at the moment theres no save game option but when you setup a game you can tick quick encounter ive played many of these Missions and they only take one hour fifteen minuets This quick encounter mission 25th December 1941 22:20 North Sea nice big Convoy https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pic...ictureid=10929 |
OK, thanks for the reply, I thought that was the case, would be very nice to have in the future. For us total noobs thrashing around trying to figure out how everything works it took about 2 hours to get to the point that we were contemplating having a go at targeting the ships we had found by which time we were out of time! I know we will get faster but if we had a save option we could continue and as the missions progress and get more complicated I would think this will become more important so those of us with less time. Another thing, while I am looking here the sim is running and I will have missed a couple of messages from the crew, is there any way to bring up the last few messages and better still, are they time stamped so you could see how old they are?

Once we have a set of campaign missions we will examine a save game function.

OK thanks that would be a help but don't mess with any schedule for that.
I have started 2 skirmish missions in a row now with a crew member and on neither occasion have we encountered anything, any ideas? |
Select Quick Encounter, you will start the game with the convoy generally behind you and moving in your direction within visual range.
or, With Quick Encounter not checked, with Clear weather selected: start the mission, dive to 20m, go All Stop, listen for the convoy with the hydrophones. When you get a relative bearing, set course to intercept. Then surface, select Diesel engines and order Full Speed. Man the lookouts, you usually will see the enemy before they can see you. If you select a mission with Fog conditions, all bets are off, you will need to be ready to dive as soon as a visual contact is made. Fog is the great equalizer, it's almost like playing a maze game. Friend me and if you see me online, I will assist. |
welcome aboard!
