SUBSIM Radio Room Forums - Steel Waves: A new Battleship & Submarine Arcade Sim

Hey there SubSim

I've been a member of your community and been watching quietly in the background for many months. I can see that you're all fairly passionate and dedicated to these types of games :)

I wanted to let you all know that my Studio (Game Tonic) has just launched a Kickstarter for our first PC game.
Steel Waves has been in development for approximately 12 weeks (Taking into account moving offices, holidays etc)

Steel Waves is what i like to call an "Arcade Sim". Meaning that it has the jump in and play appeal of a fun arcade game that friends can enjoy but still retains some of the hardcore elements of a simulator, just without the steep learning curve.
We're a community driven studio, so that means that we take on all feedback and develop the game around what our community wants. so if you want to see something in the game, want something changed or taken out then let us know and we'll discuss it openly with everyone.

Best part about our campaign is that you can actually download a demo to play with your friends :)
The demo is a very prealpha so expect some bugs.

Finally we're launching an initiative that will give communities who get behind us in a big way some special things, namely:
- Part of a list of communities for people to browse and join on our forums
- Special backing status
- Clan tag saved for use by your members only (so it doesnt get stolen or miss used)

i would really appreciate it if you were to give us some love and support for this project and campaign, pledge towards it and spread the word.
