Problems

Hello,

I can get everything to work but when I press the "N" key i get the time compression minimum 128 tab instead of the rec manual. I have clean installed 4 or 5 times now and re did the patches every time. As I mentioned everything else seems to work as expected.

I see in your mod order the DGUI is before the Stiebler patch. Where is the Tycho patched SH3.exe. Wouldn't the Steibler patch go before the Tycho patch ?

I have searched the forums and Google as well about the Hsie patch and the Steibler patch. What do you do with the Hsie Supplement to V16B1 when also using the Steibler4C_Addon_for_V16B1. I do not see anything in the readme's about this.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Stiebler patches minimum tc patch is hardcoded to the game's shift-n key function when it is applied. Strange that only using the n key is doing that in your game.

Two ways to free up your recognition manual n key, assuming the Stiebler patch is affecting it.
- disable the tc patch in his mod.
- remap the manual to a different key.
I would try the first solution first just to make sure the Stiebler mod is the problem.
The tc fix is nice around leaving and returning to your home port; it's purpose is to keep the game from going to 1x tc every time your crew spots a ship or aircraft around your port.
But it's not essential.

To add to that, could always locate the key command in the... menu.ini (I think is where that would be located... I believe...:hmmm:) after pulling the mod out of activation, 1st... of course. :yep:

On locating it's posit in the guts of that... then clip in there (think is somewhere like 2/3 of the way into that commands sectioning...:hmmm:) a ";" insert... which, as I recall... short circuits its functioning at all... right there, in the line of where the "n" key is assigned that function. :hmmm:

As John pointed out, it's use was to short circuit getting all those ships sighted messages on exiting & returning to base. Not really needed, unless you really want to have it in there... totally up to you there, @Dieselglock... :yep:

If, I am off on the exact location'ing of that command structure... am sure 1 of the others, can correct that... but, think I am fairly sure of the location for it. But... don't hold Me to that... 1000% though... :shucks:

Hope this helps... :yep: :shucks:

The key commands are in the file(s) commands_*.cfg. Path is data\cfg.

Hello! Would you happen to know how I could change the key used for a command? 'All stop' is bound to a key I can not apparently use due to my keyboard layout not being English/US:

[Cmd171]
Name=All_stop
Ctxt=1
Str=1010
Key0=0xC0,C,"~"

I'm just not sure what I need to type in after Key.

The tilde key can be problematic due to various mods. I use this key for all stop, see if it works for you. It is the "vertical slash\forward slash" key.
Copy/paste over your current command, back up your current file first.

[Cmd171]

Name=All_stop
Ctxt=1
Str=1010
Key0=0xDC,C,"|"

Well I feel rather stupid as the problem was I had the caps lock on which every time I pressed the N key it has the same effect as the shift N.:damn::damn::damn:

I was thinking something was strange; as I said Stiebler's mod affects shift-n vs just n.

Good find !

Now the tilde key, which was not working at all, is the one giving 'All stop' successfully. :haha: Works for me!

Quick test with this mod seems really good, working with MaGui F so far! But what is the sound file playing as the bridge background, with the crew sneezing and coughing throughout? Would like to change it; I feel like I'm gonna catch whatever the crew has soon myself. :timeout:

That would be one of the Ambient sound files in the main sound folder. Maybe the skyline one.
