A first time poster here so this is what I did when the last torpedo was fired and the C2 would not sink.

"Atom bomb test success, Herr Kaleun!"
Just kidding, that plane just hits the water.

I don't know what happened, as you can see the plane was pretty close my sub, so I guess the flak gunner hit the fuel tanks or the bomb. The plane lost a wing and that spray of water is caused by it, I checked. At least I got credited, my new career has a good start. :D

This board has been hot lately. It was only a few weeks ago that there were 6000 views... Now, it's over 8000!

These SH3 graphics are amazing! :yep:

VON_CAPO 09-23-05 04:17 PM

Absolutely, for this kind of screenshots I need the "Sergbuto's lifeboats mod".

http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/9...73cl0iw.th.jpg

http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/7...79cl4fi.th.jpg

By the way, anyone knows how to remove the saw border in the images?
When I tried to smooth the borders with the antialiasing feature, the image got out of focus :nope:
This is not acceptable. It looks homely. :nope:

Marhkimov 09-23-05 04:49 PM

For edges that are jagged (cables, wires, corners and such), I go back in and do some manual smudging and cloning. Of course, it would be nice if there were some sort of useful anti-aliasing option, but there really isn't one.

What we do here is screenshot ART... that means if you want to make your shots all fanciful, don't be afraid to do a little dirty work. Don't always rely on those magical auto-features. Real life artist usually don't have the benefit of a computer anyways.

Ok, more specifically... if wires are jagged or pixelated, I draw my own lines and vectors on top of them (on a seperate layer). Then I simply delete the old lines (using the clone tool), and voila. Fade and blur your lines when necessary.

Edges are even easier... just smudge and clone...

*And if anyone wants to compare, here ya go:

I think qouting whole posts with all pics is not needed sometimes, but posting the whole shot in 800-600 - thats fine I think.

What is a modem? :88)
